Incorporating autoregulation into periodized resistance training

How to create a structured periodized plan that organizes and attempts to optimize muscular adaptations, while also providing the flexibility to fit into life, and the ability to adjust based on stress levels and recovery-status. An introduction and discussion of the Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) scale for resistance training will occur, along with a discussion of other training methods such as autoregulating training frequency and session selection through flexible nonlinear periodization models, and also individualized load adjustments. A discussion of common periodization models will be covered in a practical context, as well as research on autoregulation, much of it done by myself and my colleagues.
